One of the top basketball prospects in the country for the class of 2023 narrowed his list Friday, and the B1G is well-represented. 3 teams are still in the running on his list of top 5 programs.
Jeremy Fears Jr., a 4-star point guard out of La Porte, Indiana, dropped his list with Illinois, Michigan, and Michigan State still in the running. Kansas and UConn joined the B1G programs.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Fears is a top-50 prospect and comes in at No. 27 in the country regardless of position. Fears is also the top player out of Indiana and the No. 7 point guard in the country.
As far as 2023 goes, Illinois, Michigan, and Michigan State have yet to earn a commitment. Landing Fears would be a great jumpstart to the recruiting class of any program.
