Wisconsin earns PWO commitment from Seattle linebacker

Wisconsin added a preferred walk-on to its 2022 class on Sunday with the commitment of Seattle native Austin Harnetiaux.

The linebacker prospect announced his commitment on Twitter.

“I would like to thank (outside linebacker coach Bobby) April, (head coach Paul) Chryst, and the Wisconsin staff for believing in me,” he wrote on Twitter. “I can’t wait to prove you right!”

Harnetiaux comes from Seattle Prep School. A 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker prospect, he’s rated as a 3-star by 247Sports. Despite FBS offers from Air Force and Army, and a slew of offers from lower-level schools, Harnetiaux is walking on in Madison.

He was a Metro League defensive MVP and an all-conference linebacker. You can view his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
