We could potentially see a family reunite in Lincoln in the near future.
Thursday night, former Nevada defensive lineman Teivis Tuioti, the son of Nebraska defensive line coach Tony Tuioti, announced that he has received an offer from the Huskers. He recently spoke with head coach Scott Frost about the opportunity to join the program.
“After a great conversation with Coach Frost, I’m excited and grateful to receive an offer to play (at Nebraska),” Teivis wrote on Twitter.

Teivis spent 2 seasons at Nevada, joining the team as a member of the 2020 recruiting class. During the 2021 campaign, he appeared in 4 games and was credited with 2 tackles.
A 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle will still have 4 years of eligibility remaining because of the COVID-19 waiver and utilizing his redshirt year in 2021. If he does commit to Nebraska, he would add depth to the defensive front for Frost’s bunch.
Tony will be entering his fourth season on staff with the Huskers in 2022. He previously spent time at Cal before the move to Lincoln.
