Torrance Gibson is playing college football in Ohio in 2017.

But it won’t be at Ohio State. Instead, the former Buckeye wideout will join a different program in the state.

Gibson will reunite with former Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell at Cincinnati.

On top of that, Gibson told ESPN that he’ll return to playing his original position of quarterback.

To become eligible for the 2017 season, Gibson reportedly plans to enroll at Cincinnati State, where he’ll get an associate’s degree.

In August, Gibson received a university-issued suspension for the 2016 season, which wiped away his redshirt freshman season in Columbus. Urban Meyer voiced his frustration with that suspension, and maintained his desire to bring Gibson back on to the team in 2017.

The former four-star dual-threat quarterback made the switch to receiver and showed promise in OSU’s 2016 spring game. At Cincinnati, he’ll get a chance to play his natural position.
