The Mayo Clinic just announced who their three college football Comeback Players of the Year are, and making the cut was Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

Hutchinson’s 2020 campaign was cut short due to injury, spurring his return to Ann Arbor for the year.

Other winners for the honor include Florida State quarterback McKenzie Milton and Kentucky linebacker JJ Weaver.

Hutchinson finished second in the Heisman voting behind Alabama quarterback Bryce Young who took home the trophy a few weeks ago.

Hutchinson finished the season as a consensus first-team All-American with 33 tackles and 14 sacks on the year to help lead his team to the College Football Playoff where he and the Michigan Wolverines will face the Georgia Bulldogs.

Last year as a junior, Hutchinson only started 3 games because he suffered a fractured leg. which ended his season but his play this season has made him one of the top prospects in the country.
