The Michigan-Georgia game could be won in the trenches according to Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.
He talked about how the Wolverines and Bulldogs are both smash mouth teams, describing the matchup as a “train wreck inside” in an interview on Monday. He also emphasized the importance of endurance in the game.
Josh Gattis: “It’s going to be a trainwreck inside. Two smashmouth teams going at each other. Endurance is going to be a big factor.”

Both teams have rushed for over 2,000 yards this season, so that could very well be the case with this game. Georgia and Michigan have only played twice. Both have been in Ann Arbor in 1957 and 1965. Both teams have 1 win in the series.
The 3rd meeting between these 2 teams takes place in Miami, Florida on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. We’ll see how these teams decide to attack each other on offense.
