Linebacker Deshawn Holt has entered the transfer portal after having 23 total tackles and 2 sacks in 2 seasons.

His best season came this year when he finished with 15 total tackles (13 solo) and had both sacks.

Before committing to Maryland, Holt was a 3-star prospect and the No. 21 player in Maryland, per 247Sports Composite. He was also the No. 73 edge rush recruit in the nation and the No. 1,189 overall recruit.

It’s not known where he’ll take his talents to next but he did receive interest from Toledo, Kent State, Bowling Green, and Massachusetts before he went to College Park.

We’ll see if some of those other schools circle back to him.
