Michigan State DB duo announces plans to return for 2022 season

Michigan State is getting a boost on defense next season as senior safety Xavier Henderson announced he’ll be back for one last year.
Henderson announced the news on his Twitter account:
Thank you Spartan Nation for an amazing 2021 season. Your support was unmatched and meant so much to my teammates and I. I ain’t really have enough to say to put on a picture but I’ll be back for next year😀

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Henderson amassed 61 solo tackles, a forced fumble, an interception, and 2 pass deflections. For his career, Henderson has tallied 235 total tackles, 9 pass deflections, 3 sacks, a forced fumble, and 3 interceptions.
Additionally, cornerback Ronald Williams Jr. is returning for another season at Michigan State. Williams Jr. totaled 29 solo tackles, a forced fumble, an interception, and 8 pass deflections.

Michigan State will also be getting back leading receiver Jayden Reed for another season. Reed recorded 59 receptions, 1,026 yards, and 10 touchdowns this season.
Michigan State finished 2021 with an 11-2 record and ended third in the B1G East.
