Another player in Maryland’s secondary has announced his decision for the 2022 season.

Jakorian Bennett posted a 20-second video on his Twitter with the words “I’m back” at the end of it.

Bennett just wrapped up his best season as a Terp and should get even more snaps next season. He finished this season with 24 total tackles (23 solo) with 3 interceptions and 11 passes defended.

In 2020, Bennett finished with 6 total tackles (all solo) with 2 passes defended.

Before committing to Maryland in 2020, Bennett was the No. 16 player in his home state (Alabama) and the No. 11 overall cornerback recruit in the country, per 247Sports Composite.

He was also the No. 68 player nationally.

This is welcome news for the Terps as they’ve lost Sam Okuayinonu, Jordan Mosley, and Nick Cross the last few days to the NFL Draft.
