Purdue WR Jackson Anthrop reveals heartfelt farewell to Boilermakers

Purdue wide receiver Jackson Anthrop is electing to forgo a seventh season with the program and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Anthrop announced his decision on his Twitter account:

“My entire life I have dreamed of being a Boilermaker and compete on some of the biggest stages. Purdue has challenged me in ways I could never imagine, and I am grateful for it. To have the opportunity to play in front of the best fans in the country is an unbelievable feeling. There is nothing better than a sold out Ross-Ade,” Anthrop said. “…Purdue has forever been home, and it will always be home…Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey.”
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Anthrop amassed 53 receptions for 570 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. For his career, Anthop has tallied 148 receptions, 1,420 yards, and 11 touchdowns.
Purdue went 9-4 this season and finished second place in the B1G West.
