Ohio State is trying to bounce back from the loss to Indiana, and the Buckeyes opened Sunday’s game against Northwestern with an offensive outburst. Most of that came from the shooting stroke of EJ Liddell.

After posting an abysmal 3-for-12 shooting night – including 1-for-5 from 3-point range – Liddell came out of the gate firing vs. the Wildcats. Over the first 5 minutes of the game, Liddell scored 17 of Ohio State’s first 19 points of the game.

Over that stretch, Liddell went a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor and made all 5 3-point attempts. It is nice to see him find the hot hand after a couple of low point totals for Liddell.

After posting a combined 21 points on 5-for-26 shooting vs. Nebraska and Indiana, Liddell is up to 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting at halftime against Northwestern.
