Michigan State reportedly adding pass-rush specialist as member of Mel Tucker’s staff

Michigan State is reportedly adding a coach specializing in training the defensive line and pass rushers to Mel Tucker’s staff.
According to Matt Zenitz with On3 Sports, the Spartans are planning to add Brandon Jordan as a defensive ends/pass-rush specialist coach. Jordan has a lengthy résumé of NFL players he has trained, including but not limited to Von Miller, TJ Watt, Rashan Gary, and Maxx Crosby.

Michigan State’s pass defense was a sore spot for the Spartans this season. However, improving the pass rush can improve the numbers on the back end of the defense by speeding up QBs. It will be interesting to see how the addition of Jordan improves the Spartan defense.
