Rutgers continues to beef up its work on the offensive line, adding a commitment from a transfer offensive tackle Wednesday evening.

This time, the commitment comes from Willie Tyler, an offensive tackle out of Louisiana-Monroe. Tyler is listed at 6-foot-7 and 330 lbs. and was originally a 3-star recruit via the class of 2019.

Tyler began his career at Texas from 2019-20 but entered the transfer portal in January of 2021. He transferred to Syracuse in April but did not suit up for the Orange, transferring to Louisiana-Monroe in July.

Now, he’s on his way to Rutgers as the Scarlet Knights continue to add pieces to the line for 2022. Also on Wednesday, Rutgers officially introduced the addition of transfer OL Carlos Dunlap Jr. Dunlap started his career as a key piece of the offensive line at Minnesota before entering the portal this past season.
