Minnesota will be seriously shorthanded when it takes on Iowa on Sunday afternoon.

Darren Wolfson of KSTP tweeted out on Sunday morning a list of players and coaches who will not be in attendance for the game at Williams Arena at 2 p.m. ET. The Gophers will be without four players and two assistant coaches for the rivalry contest.

Minnesota will be without Eric Curry, Sean Sutherlin, Danny Ogele and Joey Kern for Sunday’s contest. The Gophers will still have seven scholarship players available for the game, meeting the B1G’s minimum for competition.

Curry is the team’s leading rebounder at 6.8 boards per contest. He’s also averaging 8.7 points and 28.1 minutes per game. Sutherlin is averaging 7.1 points and 3 rebounds per game for the Golden Gophers.

Ogele and Kern have seen limited action for Minnesota during the season, but it will still serve as a big blow to Minnesota’s depth.

The four players will miss Sunday’s game because of injury, COVID-19 or other illness, according to the release. Minnesota enters this weekend’s contest with a 10-4 record but has lost its last three games to Michigan State, Indiana and Illinois. The Gophers’ last win as a 72-56 victory over Green Bay on Dec. 22.

Iowa is fresh off an 83-74 home win over Indiana to improve to 12-4 on the year.
