Indiana has officially hired a new defensive line coach. The announcement was made on Wednesday afternoon.

Paul Randolph has been named the new defensive line coach in Bloomington, replacing Kevin Peoples. Randolph comes to Indiana from Texas Tech, where he spent the last three seasons with the Red Raiders.

Randolph has also recently made stops at Memphis and Arizona State. He will bring more than two decades of coaching experience with him to IU.

“We are really pleased to welcome Paul to IU,” Indiana head coach Tom Allen said. “His experience at the highest level is going to be beneficial for our defensive line. Paul’s another man on our staff of high character and is a strong leader, and I can’t wait for our young men to get to work with him.”

“I am truly honored and blessed to be joining the IU Football family,” Randolph said. “I want to thank (athletic director) Scott Dolson and Tom Allen for the opportunity to continue my passion as a teacher, mentor, coach, and builder of you men. Go IU! LEO!”

The Hoosiers struggled mightily in 2021, winning just 2 games and failing to post a single victory in B1G play. In the two previous years, Indiana finished with an 8-4 record (2019) and 6-1 mark (2020) in the regular season.
