It was revealed in August that Faustin was stepping away from the team due to medical reasons.
“Due to medical reasons, Sammy decided to step away from the team and will reevaluate after this year,” a U-M spokesman told Rainer Sabin of the Detroit Free Press. “He will remain on athletic aid.”
Faustin, from Naples, Florida, joined Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines program in 2018. He played primarily on special teams, appearing in 10 total games.
