Report: Former Alabama LB arrested for armed robbery, other charges

Trey DePriest, a former Alabama linebacker, has been taken into custody on multiple charges, including armed robbery, according to a report from WHIO.
The charges include armed robbery, assault and felonious assault.
DePriest, who was a member of multiple national championship teams while at Alabama, is being held at Clark County Jail in Ohio. He was investigated for a robbery at a hotel and he was booked on Thursday morning, according to jail records. He was arrested as a fugitive of justice.
“Once inside the hotel room the suspects attempted to rob the victim. One of the two suspects fired a shot, striking the victim,” a statement from the police department read. DePriest’s charges had been filed back on Nov. 11. Police are still looking for Adrian Chilton, 30, who also is wanted for the same incident.
DePriest is a native of Springfield, Ohio and was a member of the 2011 recruiting class. He was a 5-star prospect and committed to play for Nick Saban at Alabama.
A member of the 2011 and 2012 national championship teams with the Crimson Tide, DePriest had 232 tackles, including 14 for loss during his career in Tuscaloosa.
