Devin Jordan is returning to Columbus. The former Ohio State wide receiver announced in a Twitter post that he’s joining the Buckeyes staff ahead of the 2022 season.

Monday morning, Jordan sent out a message on social media to confirm he’ll be joining Ryan Day’s staff. Per the post, the former Buckeye will be an offensive assistant coach.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to go back to THE University that gave so much to me and serve the student-athletes through the game of football,” Jordan wrote.

Jordan will not be one of Ohio State’s 10 full-time assistant coaches.

Jordan was a receiver at Ohio State from 2003-05 but his career was derailed by an injury that occurred in practice in 2004, per Eleven Warriors.

Since his playing career, Jordan has remained involved in football in the coaching ranks. He’s had stops at Wittenberg, Otterbein, Malone, Youngstown State and Akron.

Jordan spent the past two years as an offensive quality control analyst with the Zips.
