Rutgers basketball is on a roll, claiming a second upset victim in as many games.
Over the weekend, the Scarlet Knights hit the ground running and dominated then-No. 13 Michigan State for a big win. That carried over into Wednesday.
This time around, things went a bit differently. After a back-and-forth second half, it appeared Ohio State was in control and headed to the finish line after building an 8-point lead at 64-56 with 3:48 remaining.
That is when Rutgers flipped the script. The Scarlet Knights ended the game on a 10-0 run with Geo Baker scoring 8 points and notching an assist on the other bucket. Baker’s assist to Cliff Omoruyi tied the game at 64-all before hitting 2 free-throws with 18 seconds left for the 66-64 win.

Baker led the way for Rutgers with a game-high 25 points. Malaki Branham led Ohio State with 19 points in the losing effort for the Buckeyes.
With the win, Rutgers improves to 12-2 at home this season with wins over Purdue, Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, and Ohio State. It is also Rutgers’ first time with back-to-back wins over ranked opponents since consecutive wins over Villanova and Pittsburgh in 2008.
