Aidan Hutchinson isn’t lacking in confidence ahead of his jump to the NFL.
Hutchinson recently visited Pro Football Talk’s “PFT Live.” The projected high draft pick said he’s watching NFL film has him “licking his chops.”
“To be honest with you, I think my game is gonna flourish in the NFL because I watch a lot of NFL film and I see the differences in the game just the way those quarterbacks hold onto the ball longer,” Hutchinson said. “I look at that, I’m licking my chops because you go to college you get so many RPOs, balls out like that. And you get to the quarterback and hit him but, no sack, no nothing. I think when I get to the NFL, I’m gonna light it up. I’m going to do what I do and that’s rushing the passer, getting sacks.”
In 2021, Hutchinson posted career-highs in sacks (14) and tackles for loss (16.5). A consensus All-American, Hutchinson picked up numerous honors recognizing him as the top defensive player in the Big Ten and top player nationally at his position. Hutchinson was also the Big Ten Championship Game Grange-Griffin MVP for Michigan’s win over Iowa.
Come late April, we’ll find out which NFL team picks Hutchinson to flourish at the next level.
