The departure of key Indiana assistant Deland McCullough is official with his move to Notre Dame announced Friday morning.
McCullough originally joined the Hoosiers with a stint from 2011-16. After stints at USC and with the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, McCullough returned to Bloomington for the 2021 season.
Unfortunately, that stint lasted just one season. McCullough is officially joining the staff of first-year head coach Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame.

“Deland is as dynamic as you will find in our game when it comes to helping players reach, and at times even exceed, their potential,” said Freeman via press release. “I have admired his work from a distance for several years, and I am so excited for our running backs to be able to bring in a coach who is going to get the most out of them on the field and also help them achieve their goals off of the field.”
Best wishes to McCullough as he continues is career with the Irish.
