One Michigan State player is indeed entering the transfer portal and looking for his next opportunity.

On Friday, tight end Parks Gissinger confirmed his entry to the portal with a note and farewell message on Twitter.

“I would like to thank Coach Tucker and his coaching staff for allowing me to continue to play at MSU, as well as helping develop my knowledge, hone my skill of the game, and support me now while I finish my degree,” wrote Gissinger on Twitter. “Lastly, I would like to graciously thank Spartan Nation for the endless amount of love and support you’ve shown me during my time here. MSU is a very special place, and I’m beyond blessed to have worn the green and white and call East Lansing my home.”

Gissinger originally joined Michigan State as a defensive end in the 2018 recruiting class before switching to tight end. Now, he’ll look for a new school to continue his college career.
