Mathis was at TCU for 4 seasons, using a redshirt in 2018, his first season on campus. This past season, Mathis started all 12 games for the Horned Frogs. His 4.0 sacks tied for the team lead while placing second with 7.0 tackles for loss. Mathis placed third on TCU with 3 pass breakups and fifth with 45 tackles. He picked up second-team All-Big 12 recognition the past 2 seasons.
Mathis can play up to 2 seasons at his next school by using the NCAA’s COVID waiver for the 2020 season.
