Johnny ‘Takeover’ Davis boosts Player of the Year campaign in Wisconsin’s win over Michigan

Wisconsin was tied with Michigan at the half and even trailed in the second period by 5 (38-33, 18:34). Then Johnny Davis took over. Davis scored 9 points during a 23-3 Badgers run that opened up a double-digit second-half lead en route to a 77-63 UW victory.
After scoring 8 points in the first half, Davis added 17 points in his dominating second-half performance. Davis led Wisconsin in piints (25), rebounds (6) and blocks (3) on Sunday, generating more Player of the Year buzz in the process.

With the victory, Davis’ Badgers are now in a 3-way tie for first place in the Big Ten with a 12-4 record in conference play.
