The draft stock of former Michigan running back Hassan Haskins appears to be growing. It started on Friday, when the ex-Wolverine put up a ridiculous total on the bench press during the NFL Scouting Combine.
Haskins push the 225-pound weight up 27 times, posting a best at the running back position. He beat out Ole Miss running back Snoop Connor, who threw the bar up 25 times.
After his impressive bench press performance, Haskins’ power game became a topic of conversation. Clearly, people are impressed by what he was able to do last fall.
Top RB bench press:

Hassan Haskins coming in as officially the biggest RB in the class at 6’2”, 228 pounds makes sense.
33 carries inside the 5 for Michigan last year. 16 TDs on those carries.

Haskins will not be participating in the 40-yard dash during the NFL Combine because of a lingering ankle injury. But what he did on the bench press might turn some heads for scouts.
Last season, Haskins was the leader of Michigan’s B1G-best rushing attack. He racked up 1,327 yards and 20 touchdowns on 270 carries for the Wolverines. He also caught 18 passes for 131 yards during Michigan’s B1G title run.
Haskins was a true threat out of the backfield during his year career in Ann Arbor. The running back was responsible for 2,324 yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground over the past 3 seasons.
After a strong showing on the bench, Haskins looks like he could become a valuable asset to any NFL team.
