Andy Reid has jokes. They just may not be very original.

On Friday, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs joined the NFL Network crew on broadcast coverage of this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. After former Nebraska center Cam Jurgens got done posting an impressive 4.91 time in the 40-yard dash, Reid shared some praise for the former Husker.

Shortly after, he took a little jab at Nebraska.

“They say that ‘N’ stands for ‘knowledge,'” Reid said during the broadcast. You might be surprised to find out that most Husker fans were not amused.

While Reid has spent a large majority of his career working in the NFL, he did have a 3-year stop at Missouri from 1989-91 when the Tigers and Huskers both played in the Big 8.

Nebraska fans may not be too amused with Reid’s comment, but at least he had some good things to say about Jurgens, and may have hinted at a pretty good nickname for the former Husker — “Beef Jurgy.”
