Nebraska was without leading scorer Bryce McGowens, who was injured in the upset win over Ohio State. The Huskers were without Trey McGowens for much of the second half as he was ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul that injured Wisconsin star Johnny Davis.

Davis was later ruled out for the remainder of the game with a lower body injury.
The Huskers led 34-30 at the half, but Wisconsin had a strong start to the second half. UW led by 10 points (62-52) at the 11:05 mark. Alonzo Verge Jr. led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field. He also led the Huskers in assists (6) and steals (2).
The Badgers entered the game having already claimed a share of the B1G regular-season title. UW would have claimed the outright title with a win Sunday. The loss opens the door for Illinois to claim a share. The Illini face Iowa on Sunday night. Illinois would take the No. 1 seed in the B1G Tournament with a win.
According to Dave Revsine of the Big Ten Network, Nebraska is the first 20-loss team to beat back-to-back ranked teams in 50 years. It’s also the Huskers’ first win over an AP Top 10 team since 2014.
