The regular season is in the books and it’s officially time for March Madness.

An eventful final weekend in the B1G regular season resulted in some seeding changes for the 2022 B1G Tournament, scheduled to start on Wednesday. With Wisconsin falling to Nebraska and Illinois taking down Iowa, the Badgers and Illini shared the regular season conference title.

Because Illinois owned the tiebreaker, the Fighting Illini earned the top overall seed for this week’s event, while the Badgers are in the No. 2 spot. Last year, Illinois took home the B1G Tournament title.

The four teams to earn the coveted double-bye this year were Illinois (No. 1), Wisconsin (No. 2), Purdue (No. 3) and Rutgers (No. 4). The two games scheduled for Wednesday will feature No. 12 Northwestern vs. No. 13 Nebraska and No. 11 Penn State vs. No. 14 Minnesota.
