A former Nebraska staffer is reportedly headed to another B1G West program — Purdue.

Tom Dienhart of Gold and Black Illustrated is reporting that Purdue has hired Trent Mossbrucker to be the next assistant director of football recruiting. He is expected to start on Monday, March 21.

Mossbrucker comes to West Lafayette from Lincoln, working on Scott Frost’s staff for the past four seasons. While at Nebraska, he was director of football and recruiting administration.

Mossbrucker was a kicker at Iowa from 2008-12.

Purdue’s 2023 recruiting class ranked No. 9 in the B1G, bringing in 20 prospects, which included 3 players with a 4-star ranking. The Boilermakers ranked No. 37 nationally.

Last season, the Boilers ended with a 9-4 record, their best season under Jeff Brohm. They also recorded wins over No. 2 Iowa, No. 3 Michigan State, rival Indiana and Tennessee in the Music City Bowl.

Brohm will be entering his sixth season at Purdue in 2022.
