Boeheim finished with 14 points in the blowout win. To his credit, Boeheim did acknowledge the incident and apologized for it afterward.
Even with the apology, the ACC handed down a one-game suspension to Boeheim.
“The Atlanta Coast Conference today announced a one-game suspension for Syracuse men’s basketball student-athlete Buddy Boeheim as a result of a flagrant act committed during the first half of the Syracuse-Florida State game,” the conference announced via a statement.
