It’s that time of year in the college basketball season where wins and losses take on a bit more weight. For teams on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament, each day could prove fatal – or promising – to hopes of making it into March Madness.

Following Thursday’s results from the conference tournaments across the country, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his bracketology late in the evening. Thursday’s busy and dramatic day out of the B1G produced some key and interesting results.

Indiana – entering Indianapolis on the bubble – boosted their stock with a win over Michigan. Lunardi now has the Hoosiers in the “Last Four In” group entering Friday’s quarterfinal matchup vs. Illinois.

Michigan remains locked into the NCAA Tournament with Lunardi slotting the Wolverines in the “Last Four Byes” group. Rutgers is in that same category heading into a Friday quarterfinal vs. Iowa.

At the top of Lunardi’s Bracketology are Wisconsin, Purdue and Illinois out of the B1G. He currently has the Badgers as a 2-seed, the Boilermakers as a 3-seed and the Illini as a 4-seed as those teams begin their B1G Tournament play on Friday.
