Teddy Allen is playing in March Madness, and he produced a performance for the ages Thursday night.

Playing with New Mexico State, the former Husker was taking on 5-seed UConn as a member of the 12-seed Aggies. Allen led the way with a game-high outburst of 37 points for New Mexico State.

That included a clutch and-1 bucket late in the game to help the Aggies separate a bit:

When the final buzzer sounded, New Mexico State advanced to the Round of 32 with a 70-63 final score. Allen finished the game 10-for-24 from the field, 4-for-7 from deep and an incredible 13-for-13 from the free-throw line. To round out his performance, Allen chipped in 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

How important was Allen’s contribution? No other Aggie scored more than 9 points in the win with just 7 bench points provided. Can Allen replicate that performance in the next round?
