Ex-Ohio State QB making strong impression at Florida this spring

It sounds like former Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller III is making a good first impression this spring at his new home. After arriving at Florida, the ex-Buckeye appears to be fitting right in with the Gators.
As Florida gets spring practice underway, Miller finds himself in the mix to compete for the starting job for the first year under new head coach Billy Napier. Anthony Richardson is the projected favorite to be the starter for the Gators in 2022, but Miller can still challenge for the title of QB1.
“Well, there’s a reason Jack’s here,” Napier said this week, per GatorsWire.com. “I think we anticipated potential issues. Jack comes across as a guy who has been in competition before. He’s played in games before, and he does come across like it’s not too big for him.”
Napier isn’t the only one with praise of Miller’s arrival in Gainesville. Running back Nay’Quan Wright also had positive things to say about the newest Florida quarterback.
“He didn’t come in and think, ‘Oh I was at Ohio State and this is how they ran their program,’” Wright said. “He came in and bought in. He’s a great teammate for me. He comes in and laughs. He takes mental reps when he’s not in. I like that about him; how he takes his mental reps when he’s not in the game.”
Miller spent two seasons at Ohio State and was a 4-star member of the 2020 recruiting class. He didn’t see much playing time while in Columbus because of the loaded quarterback room.
He’s looking to change that down in Gainesville.
