Two of the best safeties in this year’s NFL Draft class come from the B1G, according to a list released from Pro Football Focus.
Illinois’ Kerby Joseph and Penn State’s Jaquan Brisker were both listed among the Top 5 safeties available in this year’s NFL Draft. Joseph came in at No. 4 on the list while Brisker was listed at No. 5.

Joseph concluded the 2021 season with 57 tackles, 5 interceptions, 2 pass break-ups and a sack. The Fighting Illini rounded out the first year under Bret Bielema with a 5-7 record, which included road wins over ranked Minnesota and Penn State teams.
Brisker racked up 64 stops with 6 for loss. He was also credited with 5 pass break-ups, 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery during a 7-6 campaign for the Nittany Lions.
