Update provided on injured Wisconsin DB Travian Blaylock

Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst provided an update on injured safety Travian Blaylock following the Badgers’ ninth spring practice on Saturday.
Blaylock, who was injured earlier this spring, will be out for the remainder of spring practice. It’s unclear what the extent of the injury is or whether he’ll be ready to return for summer workouts and fall camp.
Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported the news on Saturday.

Blaylock, a redshirt junior for the Badgers, reportedly suffered an injury to his right knee. He left the field without putting any weight on the leg during an earlier spring practice.
Baylock saw the field in a rotational role for the Badgers last season, appearing in 11 contests. He was credited with 20 tackles and a fumble recovery during Wisconsin’s 9-4 year.
As an experienced veteran, Blaylock was expected to take on a bigger role in Wisconsin’s secondary for the upcoming season. He’s spent the past 4 years in Madison, using the 2018 campaign as a redshirt year and having the 2020 COVID-19 waiver, as well.
Over the course of his career, Blaylock has played in 15 games and has totaled 24 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries.
