Penn State basketball lands 2 top-100 transfer commitments

Micah] Shrewsberry’s Penn State basketball squad made some big pickups in the transfer portal Thursday. Bucknell guard Andrew Funk and Drexel guard Cam Wynter each announced commitments to the Nittany Lions.
Funk averaged 17.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game, earning second-team All-Patriot League honors. Funk was a 36.3% shooter from 3-point range.
Wynter averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists this season, earning All-CAA recognition. It was his third-consecutive season averaging at least 15 points per game (career 14.6 ppg average). Over his 4-season career, Wynter has shot 34% from behind the 3-point line.
ESPN ranked both players in the top 100 transfers available. Penn State posted a 14-17 record in the 2021-22 season, finishing 10th in the B1G.
