Jordan Poole has elevated his game during his third season in the NBA. Now, the Michigan product is taking the playoffs by storm and has been on a tear vs. the Denver Nuggets.

Selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft, Poole spent his first two seasons mostly coming off the bench with limited production. This season, Poole appeared in 76 games with 51 starts and set career-high marks in minutes played, scoring (18.5 points per game) and improved his efficiency in every shooting category.

Now in his first career playoff series, Poole is lighting things up while averaging 28.7 points and shooting 67% from the field and 59% from 3-point range. According to ESPN’s Marc J. Spears, Poole is the first guard since the merger to post those numbers across 3 straight playoff games.

Late in the Game 3 win over the Nuggets, Poole came up with a pair of clutch plays. He started a key stretch for the Warriors by finding Andrew Wiggins for a go-ahead 3-pointer with 3 minutes remaining. Poole followed that up with a ridiculous up-and-under basket to increase Golden State’s lead late.

It will be interesting to see what Poole can do for an encore as the Warriors look to sweep the Nuggets.
