This week, several former B1G football stars are going to hear their names called on the biggest stage. The NFL Draft will turn a lot of dreams into reality for several players out of the conference.

Thursday night will be dedicated to first-round coverage of this year’s draft and several B1G stars are expected to be called. It should make for an exciting night across the league.

Before the first round arrives, though, we wanted to take a look at what program has done the best job of producing first-round talent over the past five seasons. It should be no surprise that Ohio State leads the way, nearly doubling the total of the next-best school — Michigan.

Only eight teams from the B1G have had a player selected in the first round of the draft between 2017-21. The six that have not are: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Nebraska, Purdue and Rutgers.

Here’s how many the other eight programs have produced in that time frame:

Ohio State — 11

Michigan — 6

Iowa — 3

Penn State — 3

Maryland — 2

Northwestern — 2

Wisconsin — 2

Minnesota — 1

B1G Total: 30
