Just 3 years ago, Dwayne Haskins was a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft via the Washington Commanders. Earlier this month, he tragically passed away at the age of 24. At the time, Haskins was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Haskins’ passing was one that rocked Ohio State and the Steelers alike. Some felt that Haskins was beginning to mature and round out into his own as a player.

Prior to the start of the first round on Thursday night, the NFL honored Haskins with a moment of silence in Las Vegas. It was a touching tribute for a player whose life was tragically cut short.

Prior to getting selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft, Haskins starred for the Buckeyes with a huge season in 2018. He led Ohio State to a B1G Championship and Rose Bowl win while tossing a single-season program record 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns.
