2022 NFL Draft: Here’s how many 1st Round picks every conference had this year

The SEC dominated the first round of the NFL Draft yet again. The conference known as the premier league in college football flexed its muscle on Thursday night, producing a dozen first-round selections.
An impressive five of those selections were from Georgia’s defense. That was really the storyline of the night, with the Bulldogs having one of the most successful nights in recent memory.
Also of note was the fact that six wide receivers were taken within the first 18 picks of the 2022 NFL Draft. Three of those were from the B1G — Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave and Jahan Dotson — and all were taken between picks No. 10 and No. 16.
For a second-straight year, the Big 12 had no first-round picks. Meanwhile, two FCS leagues produced a first-round selection. Here’s a look at the complete conference breakdown from Thursday night’s first round:
