A few weeks after entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal, former Nebraska defensive lineman Casey Rogers has found a new home. He’s heading to the Pac-12.

Wednesday, Rogers announced on Twitter his commitment to Oregon. Rogers had also been considering Auburn and USC. He will reunite with Tony Tuioti, who was the defensive line coach at Nebraska for three seasons before heading to Eugene.

Rogers will have two seasons of eligibility to use with the Ducks. Below is his official announcement.

During his time at Nebraska, Rogers appeared in 19 games, making 42 tackles and collecting 1.5 sacks. He spent four seasons in Lincoln and entered the transfer portal following the conclusion of spring ball.

Rogers missed the first 5 games of the 2021 season because of an injury sustained in preseason camp. He played in the final 7 contests for the Huskers, making 17 tackles with 3.5 for loss.

Nebraska concluded the 2021 season with a 3-9 record.

Oregon is entering a new era after Mario Cristobal left the program to take over at Miami. Dan Lanning is the new head coach of the Ducks.
