Ohio State’s 2023 recruiting class has received a boost along the offensive line.
Wednesday afternoon, the Buckeyes received a commitment from 4-star, in-state offensive lineman Austin Siereveld. He made his announcement live on CBS Sports HQ. Ohio State edged out Alabama and Notre Dame for Siereveld’s pledge.
Siereveld is listed as a 6-foot-5, 315-pound interior offensive lineman out of Middletown. He’s ranked as the No. 351 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and is a Top 10 talent from Ohio.
From 247Sports recruiting analyst Allen Trieu:
High school tackle who will likely move inside in college. Has very good size and can get off the ball, be mobile and change directions at 320 pounds. Plays under control and with a good base. Showed he could bend at camps, but can still do that more consistently in pads. Would like to see him play at around this weight in college. A high-major strength and conditioning program should help him do that while adding strength and explosion. Plays with toughness and a no-nonsense approach. High floor prospect who should be a starting guard or center for several years at a high-major program.
Siereveld received more than a dozen offers on the recruiting trail. He joins an Ohio State class that ranks in the Top 10 nationally.
