New UCF transfer and former Maryland linebacker Terrence Lewis was arrested following a domestic battery charge on Sunday per Sam Marsdale of 247Sports. He transferred to the UCF program in January of 2022.

Lewis wasn’t able to play for the Terrapins at all in 2021 due to an ACL and shoulder injury. He was a former 5-star recruit and the top linebacker from the Class of 2021 per the 247Sports Composite. He attended Miami Central High School in Opa Locka, Florida. Lewis entered the transfer portal on Nov. 29 of 2021.

Lewis originally chose Maryland over Tennessee, Auburn, and Miami. However, he got offers from all over the country as one of the top recruits from his class.

It’ll be interesting to see what becomes of this situation as more details about the arrest start to come out.
