Penn State picks up commitment from New Jersey WR for 2023

Penn State continues to add to its impressive 2023 recruiting class, adding another commitment Wednesday evening.
This time, the commitment comes from Ejani Shakir, a 6-foot wide receiver out of New Jersey. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Shakir is a 3-star prospect for the cycle.
He shared his commitment via Twitter:

Shakir is rated the No. 48 WR in the country for the class of 2023 by the composite rankings. He also checks in as the No. 7 player out of New Jersey for the cycle.
Shakir joins a Penn State class that is currently ranked 5th in the country for the cycle. He is the first receiver commitment in the group that is currently headlined by 5-star IOL Alex Birchmeier out of Virginia.
