Former Ohio State WR Chris Olave has reportedly signed his rookie deal with the New Orleans Saints per Brad Crawford of 247Sports. The Saints drafted Olave with the 11th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Olave was 3rd on the team in receiving yards with 936 yards receiving and led all Buckeyes’ WRs in scoring with 13 touchdowns in 2021. He appeared in a total of 47 games for Ohio State in his career. He had a career high in receiving yards during his senior season.
The contract will reportedly be a 4-year deal worth $19.2 million and is fully guaranteed.
Other players from Ohio State that were drafted include WR Garrett Wilson (New York Jets), TE Jeremy Ruckert, OL Nicholas Petit-Frere (Tennessee Titans), DE Tyreke Smith (Seattle Seahawks), and OT Thayer Munford (Las Vegas Raiders).
It’ll be interesting to see which Ohio State rookie signs their contract next.
