It hasn’t taken long for former Wisconsin standout tight end Jake Ferguson to impress in the NFL. The ex-Badger is turning some heads during rookie minicamp with the Dallas Cowboys.
According to Matt Lombardo of Social Victories, Ferguson has been a standout during minicamp, leaving many to believe he “has a chance to be special.” He’s demonstrated “really solid body control” and has shown off some serious physicality while on the field.
Essentially, everything that made Ferguson a great tight end in Madison for so many years is translating to the NFL.

Ferguson was a fourth-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. He was picked at No. 129 overall after putting together an All-B1G season in 2021.
Last season, Ferguson had 46 receptions for 450 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Badgers closed the year with a 9-4 record. It marked the third time in his career he eclipsed 400 receiving yards.
For his career, Ferguson left Madison with 145 receptions for 1,618 yards and 13 touchdowns. The star tight end appeared in 47 games while with the Badgers.
