Northwestern had a busy weekend on the recruiting trail and it’s spilled over into the work week. On Tuesday, the Wildcats landed another verbal pledge.

Alexander Doost, a 3-star interior offensive lineman out of Arizona, gave his verbal commitment to Pat Fitzgerald and Northwestern. He made the announcement with a post on Twitter.

Doost becomes the 11th player of the 2023 recruiting class to commit to Northwestern.

“I’m proud to announce my commitment to Northwestern University!” Doost wrote on Twitter. “I can’t wait to be part of this family. This one’s for you, Mom.”

Doost is listed as a 6-foot-6, 295-pound interior offensive lineman out of Glendale. He picked Northwestern over offers from 17 other programs. The Wildcats edged out Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan State, Oregon State, Utah, Washington, Washington State, West Virginia and others.

Per 247Sports composite rankings, Doost ranks as the No. 16 overall prospect out of Arizona. He’s also one of the Top 75 interior offensive linemen of the cycle.

Thanks to the recent flurry of commitments coming in, Northwestern is up to No. 10 in the national recruiting rankings.
