Illinois basketball is locking up Brad Underwood’s trio of assistant coaches, the Illini announced Thursday evening.
The program announced that Chester Frazier, Tim Anderson and Geoff Alexander are all signed through 2025. After a staff shakeup following the 2020-21 season, Illinois is trying to establish a bit of consistency on the coaching staff.

Despite juggling some injuries – including Andre Curbelo being limited to 19 games played – Illinois clinched a share of the regular-season B1G title for 2022. Unfortunately, the Illini were knocked out of the NCAA Tournament with a second-round loss to Houston.
Over the past 2 seasons, Illinois has won 47 games, captured the 2021 B1G Tournament and a share of the 2022 regular-season title. The Illini also signed the No. 7 recruiting class nationally for the class of 2022. That group includes 4-star prospect Skyy Clark and Texas Tech transfer Terrence Shannon.
