Don’t expect any more noise out of the SEC. Not for the time being, at least.

The spat heard around college football started Wednesday when Nick Saban claimed Texas A&M “bought every player” in the Aggies’ 2022 recruiting class. Jimbo Fisher did not take that quietly, hosting a press conference and blasting Saban Thursday morning in a press conference of his own.

It did not take long for the SEC office to respond with official reprimands Thursday evening. However, that does not appear to be the only decision by the SEC and commissioner Greg Sankey in the wake of the dust-up.

According to Paul Pabst with The Dan Patrick Show, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin was scheduled to be interviewed by Dan Patrick on Friday. Unfortunately, Pabst reported Sankey has put SEC coaches on no media and no comment restrictions.

It will be interesting to see what comes next from the firestorm rolling in the SEC.
