Hooker spent four years in Columbus before deciding to leave the program. He played in 15 career games for the Buckeyes, making 5 starts during the 2020 campaign.
The veteran safety leaves Columbus with 33 tackles, including 19 solo stops. He also had 2 pass break-ups, a fumble recovery and an interception.
Hooker will have two years of eligibility to Youngstown State after maintaining a redshirt status in one season and because of the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for the 2020 campaign.
